Mr. Baum is a president for Amicon Construction in Cleveland, Ohio. He has created one of the most efficient teams in the Midwest territory that provides multiple services to a variety of diverse clients. He has managed a wide range of projects including Montefiore Home, University Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, Multiple banks and Auto Dealerships.
While efficiently managing the design and construction process, Mr. Baum constantly turns around projects on time and under budget. His thoroughness in documenting each stage of the project always keeps the client aware of day to day activities.
Mr. Baum managed projects for million square feet in northeast Ohio. He managed the design, construction, and renovation for University Hospitals, The Cleveland Clinic, Summa Health, St. Vincent Medical Center.
Leiken Motors Mercedes Benz, Marshall Ford and Lincoln and Nick Mayer Lincoln are consistently constructing new and renovating existing dealerships in Northeast Ohio. Mr. Baum is engaged in managing the procurement of these facilities.
Fairlawn Park,LLC a private development firm in Cleveland, Ohio recently constructed a 44,000 SF corporate office center. Mr. Baum managed the project in its entirety.
Mr. Baum’s also managed the construction and renovation for over 20 Charter One Bank and PNC Bank retail locations throughout Northeast Ohio. Working with various consultants and general contractors, Mr. Baum successfully completed all bank branches under budget and on time.
Mr. Baum began his profession career with MK Ferguson as a Senior Structural Engineer and Project Manager. MK was Design-Build general contractor in Cleveland, OH. For ten years he specifically designed and built only industrial facilities. Clients included Anheuser-Busch, Frito-Lay, Dupont and Weirton Steel. He has managed the process from design to construction close-out. Mr. Baum had multiple responsibilities including on senior structural engineering and Project Manager. His day to day activities consisted of defining their scope of work, executing contacts, and on site management from ground breaking to the Certificate of occupancy.
Mr. Baum maintained all of his cost reports while keeping them under budget, as well as creating and maintaining project schedules to meet the client’s expectations. Spending years on site with the subcontractors gives Mr. Baum a very deep understanding on the nuts and bolts of design and daily construction activities.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Baum graduated from The University of Ohio State in 1978 with a Bachelors degree In Civil Engineering and Graduated in 1986 from Case Western Reserve University with a Master degree in Business Administration.
