About Amicon
A family operated business with a deep understanding of the nuts and bolts of design and daily construction activities.
Amicon's portfolio includes corporate offices, industrial & distribution facilities, medical offices and hospitals, financial institutions, retail stores, religious facilities, restaurants, senior living, daycare facilities, hospitality, and multi-family housing. Our projects range anywhere from $100,000 to $20 million. We have four project managers and seven superintendents who specialize in each type of industry.
We pride ourselves in being responsive to clients and architects. This is a fast paced industry and we understand the importance of delivering projects on time and under budget. Always conscience of our project completion dates, we mitigate risk by expediting long lead materials in today’s challenging supply chain environment. Our clients have full time jobs and we are very respectful of their time and energy. Amicon sees itself as a partner from beginning to end and loves to offer our expertise. Most of our projects are from repeat customers because they trust us to look out for their best interests at all times.
Bruce Baum
In 1986, Bruce Baum made a career-defining decision to leave his engineering firm and create his own construction company. He has created one of the most productive firms in the Midwest territory, providing multiple services to a variety of diverse clients. He has managed a wide range of projects over his 38 years career including corporate office spaces, Montefiore Home, University Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, multiple banks, and auto dealerships.
Decades later, Amicon Construction has grown exponentially and continues to serve northeast Ohio as one of the most efficient and trustworthy general contractors. Bruce surrounded himself with hardworking, passionate, intelligent people who deliver a wide variety of projects.
Scott Baum
Bruce’s son Scott grew up watching his father build a successful and efficient business for three decades and decided to follow in his footsteps when he attended Ohio State University. Armed with a degree in construction management, Scott cut his teeth with Level 5 in Atlanta then worked for JLL & Cresa in Chicago, where he specialized in workplace strategies for large corporations. In 2018 he brought that expertise home to Amicon, where he became the lead account manager for large organizations such as Nestle, Philips, and several banks throughout NE Ohio. In 2022, Scott took over as president of Amicon with his father remaining on board in a consultative role.
